We accept volunteers of any age or ability! We accept volunteers for one-time events or on an ongoing short or long term basis. All volunteers are subject to a background check and L’Arche-specific orientation. Volunteers will never be asked to be alone in the homes, or provide any direct care. What you can do:

• Visit a home and play board or card games with the Core Members
• Join us for Community Prayer Night or dinner
• Visit a home and do arts and crafts with Core Members
• Bring a friendly pet to visit one of our homes
• Help Core Members cook a meal or dessert – and enjoy with them!
• Take a Core Member out in the community (for coffee, shopping, for a walk, etc.)
• Help with spring cleaning (organize basements, garages, deep clean homes, etc.)
• Paint rooms in the homes when needed.
• Administrative tasks in our office (scanning files, alphabetizing, etc.)
• Do yardwork (weeding, mowing, plant flowers, and/or trim bushes)
